Why do we provide these services and opportunities for you?

 

We are often asked why we provide these opportunities to Internationals and why we do so free of charge. Here is the reason why...

 

In the Bible, Jesus taught us to help other people and to love others. The Bible also teaches that we should welcome and help foreigners who live in our country. We want to faithfully follow what God has commanded.  We also enjoy making friends with people from all around the world.  Our staff and the more than 80 volunteers from Lakeview Church who provide these services love learning about other  countries and other cultures.  We are here to help you and be your friend!

 

Because we provide services to you out of love for God and love for you, know that we will never pressure you to believe as we believe.  However, if you like, we will gladly share with you the hope we have found in knowing God in a personal way.  We are not followers of a religion, but are people, just like you, who have discovered the wonder of knowing God in a personal way.  We have found joy, hope, and purpose in life because of our personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.  If you have questions about these things, please feel free to ask!   However, know that we are here to help you and be your friend regardless of your religious beliefs.
